Captain Franklin Chronicles 8 - Bosom Mate Evenson Log

Day 91

After only a few days aboard of the Autonomous Schooner it seems we have been here forever. It is astonishing how quickly does a person get used to having a full belly and a warm cot to sleep upon.

The sailors on this boat are an odd bunch. Collected from around the world this motley bunch are most welcoming and warm. As a matter of fact I have not met such a friendly bunch of mates in a very long time.

The Captain of this boat Rich and his first mate Lisa lead the crew with a stern yet fair hand, counting on their men through every weather.

The food they serve is surprisingly nourishing stuff, even though upon inspection one cannot discern wherefrom it came. They also have a great supply of fresh water, none of that green thick stuff that you find on other ocean faring ships.

I am glad to be here, knowing also that soon we will pull into a friendly port where we have many connections ready to furnish us with a new assignment and a new ship to call our own.

Settling for another night in a warm and dry bed, cheers for now...

BM Evenson

  1. The Autonomous Chronicles, I see this collection of experience and art from those aboard the "Autonomous Schooner"
